Evaluation Activity 3

What have you learned from your audience feedback?
.
We showed our film and ancillary texts to the rest of our class and they made some useful comments which made us learn about what we could have improved and what they liked about them. We filmed our class giving us feedback and are uploading the video. We learned that our teaser trailer did make them want to see our film which is good as that was our aim.
This is what our class said:

Other comments people have made include:

"I think your camera work is really good, I liked the over the shoulder shot of the girl picking up and reading the note. I also really liked the fact you used tracking shots as it really gives the impression she's being followed."

"I think its good as it does leave a lot of mystery but its still dramatic enough to make you want to watch it, I like how its quite short and quick, which makes it more exciting. The only thing I would say is I couldn't hear the speech well at the beginning."

"Much drama and suspence is created with the selected music playing over the entire length of the film with limited speech. The angles from which the film is shot in the middle section does give the impression of somebody watching and adds extra tension. The close up shot of the knife in the final scene and the harsh sudden cut to the film title is an effective and appropriate ending."

"I really enjoyed the teaser trailer and it did make me want to go and watch the film, the only things I think you could have improved on was the sound at the beginning and it was quite hard to read the text on the phone at the end, but I think the music worked well with your film."

"I think its really good, but one improvement I think you could have made better, was maybe not including the knife at the end as it made me think it was a bit obvious she was going to be killed/stabbed."
